The Crew Behind the Chaos
Bad Habit Auto & Adventure isn’t just a business — it’s the result of years of busted knuckles, late nights, and an obsession with machines that never really went away.
We’re a little gritty, a little obsessive, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
How It Started
From a Bad Habit to a Full-Blown Lifestyle
Bad Habit Auto & Adventure didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a bad habit. Mike and Chris have been best friends since middle school — and they’ve been tearing apart engines, rigs, and anything with a motor for just as long. What began as weekend wrenching turned into late-night shop sessions. One project turned into five. A “quick fix” turned into a full build. And before long, the jokes about “doing this for real someday” started sounding a lot more serious.
Between work trips, vacations, and weekends spent fixing and building for friends, it became clear: this wasn’t just a hobby. It was a way of life. So they opened a shop.
Not just any shop — but a place built for people like them. People who love the smell of grease, the sound of a tuned motor, and a trail that pushes back just hard enough to make it fun.
Who We Are Today
More Than a Shop, It's A Community
Today, Bad Habit Auto & Adventure is a full-service auto, off-road, ATV/UTV, and custom build shop based in Parowan, Utah. With over 40 years of combined mechanical experience, our crew brings real-world knowledge, hands-on skill, and problem-solving ability you only get by doing the work — not reading about it.
We work on daily drivers, trail rigs, side-by-sides, motorcycles, golf carts, classics, and full custom builds. From basic maintenance to complex electrical diagnostics, performance upgrades, fabrication, and drivetrain swaps, we do it all — and we do it right.
But what really sets us apart isn’t just the work. It’s the people.
Bad Habit is about building a place where riders, builders, weekend warriors, and off-road addicts feel at home. A shop where you can stop by, talk shop, and trust that your machine is in good hands.

Reviews & Reputation
5-Star Service That Speaks for Itself
Our customers know the difference between a quick fix and quality work — and it shows. We’re proud of our 5-star reputation and the trust our community places in us.
“We brought my boyfriends Dodge Truck with a hemi here to get heater core replaced and were met with a polite handshake from the owner, Mike, upon approaching the shop. This truck is my boyfriends favorite toy so I asked that special care be taken… a reassuring nod and big smile he replied “Absolutely, i understand and we will take good care of it!”
About 4 hours later we received a call saying our vehicle was ready. Before the paperwork Mike took my boyfriend and I to show us the replacement part was in working order. I don’t know of many shops that could do this work in under 7 hours. I was very pleased the work was done so quickly. Melaine, Mikes wife, was very sweet and amazing checking us out as well.
An excellent team and garage! We have found our new repair garage! Thanks Mike and Melanie!”

“My wife and I wanted auto locks on the doors of our car, asked Mike if it was possible within a few days he had the parts and the auto lock in and working.
My next visit I blew out my fork gaskets on my 2015 street glide once again now a problem had the parts delivered and changed out in no time at all.
Thank you Mike appreciate everything.”
